Lorenzo Lamas!
Lorenzo Lamas
Lorenzo Lamas was born on January 20, 1958 in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of actor Fernando Lamas, and actress Arlene Dahl.

His parents divorced soon after Lorenzo was born, and he was raised in Pacific Palisades. He moved to New York with his family, in 1968, and attended private school, graduating from the Admiral Farragut Academy in 1975. Upon graduation, Lorenzo moved back to California, closer to his father.

When people see Lorenzo on film, he comes across as an imposing feature, able to make full use of his speed and martial arts skills. While many martial artists begin as children, Lorenzo began his study of the arts as an adult. According to an interview with Lamas in Muscular magazine, he described himself as being a large child growing up. Lorenzo says the reason for that was that, as a boy he missed his father and because of that he ate alot and had a weight problem throughout his childhood. When he moved to California after High school, he began a regiment of exercise and martial arts (karate and taekwondo). That proved beneficial in Lorenzo getting where he is today. Because of his dedicaton determination to always improve upon himself, Lorenzo has become an inspiration and a role model to many of his fans.

With encouragement from his father, classic actor Fernando Lamas, he enrolled in Tony Barr's Film Actors Workshop and began his career with a small role in the Eddie Albert television show Swich, in 1976. Two years later at age 20, Lorenzo first began to study martial arts.

Although a myriad of fans would disagree, Lorenzo feels as is he isn't as good an actor as his parents. Accprdong to an interview he gave to Cigar Smoker magazine, when he started out in acting he felt overwhlemed. he thought that given the fact his parents were Fernano Lamas, Arlene Dahl and Esther Williams, casting directors wanted more of him than he could give. With time and experience he improved himself substaintially.

Upon his start acting, Lorenzo got the role of Lance Cumson in Falcon Crest. This was a big break for him, and he was ale to act alongside First Lady once removed, Jane Wyman. It was anout this time that Lorenzo began down a long trail of marriages. His first marriage with Victoria Hilbert ended in 1982, a year after it began. Soon after, Abby Dalton, his colleague from the TV show "Falcon Crest", introduced him to her 17-year-old daughter Kathleen Kinmont whom he married, in 1989, in Las Vegas. This came after years of dating and his departure from a very short marriage with the press spokesperson of Falcon Crest, Michele Smith (26 years old at that time). Lorenzo and Michele have a daughter and a son.

Though they were co-stars in Rengade and numerous other films, all good things come to an end, and sadly the marriage with Kathleen ended with divorce during the TV series "Renegade." The two maintained a working relationship on the set, although Kathleen role was diminshed somewhat, but in the middle of the fourth season Kathleen was permanently cut out because she had gone onto the Howard Stern Show, while the crew was in new York City filming the episode "Hound Downtown." Accoriding to rumor, while she ws on the show Kathleen disclosed how Lorenzo was a "serial heartbreaker" on the set. Enraged, Lorenzo terminated her employment immediatly, and the character of Cheyenne was sent on a permanent vacation, never be seen on the show again. In the fifth, and final, season, Lorenzo's wife, the beautiful model Shauna Sand, had a recurring role on the show as Bobby Sixkiller's personal trainer.

After Renegade, Lorenzo went on to act, along side wfe Shauna Sand, in Air America. It was an action/adventure series loosely based on the movie of the same name. Sadly, it was cancelled after one year. However, he is currently involved in the television show The Immortal. The show seems to show promise as a ratings grabber, and looks as if the plot will follow along the vein of Highlander.

In his spare time, Lorenzo Lamas spends time with wife Shauna and their two daughters. He also enjoys a good cigar. When he isn't acting, Lorenzo enjoys collecting classic motorcycles, and takes part in charity rides for his transplant fund. The fund benefits a program that gives organs to third world children who need a transplant but might not otherwise be able to gain access to organs.
